We will not contact a referee unless you have authorised us to do so.

Information collected as part of a recruitment process will not ordinarily be used for an unrelated purpose without your permission.

Unsuccessful applications

If your application is unsuccessful, we will securely delete or dispose of your recruitment information when it is no longer required.

Where we would like to retain your application for possible future opportunities, we will seek your permission.

If you have specifically agreed that we may retain your details for future vacancies, we may retain your recruitment information for up to 12 months, after which it will be deleted unless there is a lawful reason to retain it for longer or you provide further consent.

6. Overseas job applicants and immigration information

We may recruit candidates who are currently living outside New Zealand.

During the initial recruitment process, we may ask about your current right to work in New Zealand and whether you may require immigration or visa support.

If your application progresses, we may need to collect additional information relevant to employment eligibility or immigration processes.

Where information needs to be provided to Immigration New Zealand, a licensed immigration adviser, recruitment provider or another relevant organisation, we will only do so where it is necessary, authorised or otherwise permitted by law.

Submitting an application does not guarantee employment, visa support or immigration assistance.

7. Google Forms, Google Workspace and other service providers

We may use third-party technology and service providers to operate our business and collect or store information.

For example, overseas recruitment applications may be collected using Google Forms and managed using Google Workspace.

We may also use providers for services such as:

  • Website hosting

  • Email

  • Cloud storage

  • Accounting

  • Recruitment

  • Website analytics

  • Customer or business administration

Some service providers may process or store information using systems or data centres located outside New Zealand.

We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and to handle personal information in accordance with our obligations under New Zealand privacy law.
